My name is Ethan Billings and I’m currently a junior at St. John Fisher University majoring in Sports Management with a double minor in Marketing and Legal studies. As a recruited cross country and track and field athlete for the college, I have been able to put all my hard work, focus and determination to the test while doing something that inspires me to be a better person every day.

Every experience I have had, both as an athlete and as an intern, has given me even more insight into a profession that is diverse, exciting and rewarding. I believe sports instill values such as morals, ethics, accountability and team concept. As an Eagle Scout, a man of faith and family, and a person who believes you should always help others, I believe I can bring together both my character and my motivation to embark on an exciting career.

“The ultimate is not to win, but to reach within the depths of your capabilities and to compete against yourself to the greatest extent possible. When you do that, you have dignity. You have the pride. You can walk about with character and pride no matter in what place you happen to finish.”
